This is a good config to stream Windows games that you must know.
Sure you can play also with Nvidia Grid, that work well on full Android, if you have a paid subscription and a very fast internet connection.
But in this example we stream the game in local area network from a generic windows PC without Nvidia GPU.


Ultra Street Fighter IV Streaming on Shield TV
In this video i'm streaming the Windows PC to Shield Android TV with Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop. I'm controlling the game with the software controller of DroidMote Client that is connected to DroidMote Server for Windows. You can use also an hardware controller connected directly to Shield TV and with the droidmoteIME of DroidMote Client you can have the hardware controller working on the Windows game. Yes you can use also the Shield hardware controller to play this game, with the controller connected to Android and not to Windows.

Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop is one of the best apps to stream the Windows desktop to an Android device for generic purpose and without special configs. Especially for videos. But attention i have a so good quality for the game because i'm using Wifi AC 5Ghz, i have more than 650 Mbit/s bandwidth over wifi.

Tip

Problem: on initial setup you may have problems with setting up wireless if you are connected via network cable.

Solution: unplug the network cable. In most my setups with full android and stock restyle this works for me.

For full screen, i suggest xposed framework modules gravity box or app settings ( second post )
Because with apps in google play, if you force full screen you lose the ability to use keyboard , remote etc. when you are in full screen.
Are not very useful in most case.

Instead, about root in general:
Don't forget that Android without root is just a cage for mice. The root is not important just to install things, but is more important because only with root you can be the real owner of your device. Wothout root you are just a monkey in the hands of big companies that want sell services to you in better way.

When you have root, you are also more secure, because only with root, in case you get an infection, you can see the process, kill it and delete files with the same rights that google and manufacturer have in your device.

Without root, only google and manufacturer have root.
With root also you have root.

Not believe the advertising of the big companies.

I'm testing today the last Kodi 17 build.

I found that in stock firmware and full Android, but also on my Galaxy S6 the first alpha version not work.
Instead the previous 17 Nightly Build version of 29.04.2016 work in full Android. Tested 4k and 2k videos and some addons, all ok

Kodi 17 introduce a radical change of the UI, and i like it. Is more modern and usable.
