Yes I know, but I want to automate this via tasker, that's why I want to script it via a Shell cmd.

Manually switching refresh rate every time I start Netflix is not really handy

Indeed it has.

It worked on the stock rom.

I will backup your rom and re-install stock to check it again.

I received my replacement Shield TV 2017 today.

The ethernet port worked fine.

I unlocked the bootloader

Installed v1.2 again

NO ethernet!

So, clearly, there was nothing wrong with the first unit in the first place.

As I said, when I received both units, the ethernet worked fine (on stock).

After installing this rom, no ethernet.

It doesn't matter whether wireless is switched on or off, the ethernet port does not work.

can someone shed some light on how and where to get the files to upgrade my STV 2015 on full android 6.0 - 1.4v of zulu99?

i read where it says to upgrade, install stock nougat ota via TWRP then install full android nougat but cannot find nougat stock twrp image so can i flash.
any help is welcome.

I and almost all users in this forum don't have problems with ethernet on Shield TV with full Android.

Since you received a replacment unit in very short time ( very strange ) can you show a video of your problem and also the proof that your unit was replaced in so short time ?

That's a coincidence, I do not know you, either.

My messages are explanatory and consistent with the explanations. Hardly the rantings of a troll!

So many 'strange' events!

My Shield was purchased using Amazon Prime, which is Next Day delivery. Replacements are also Next Day, including Sundays.

With a Prime account, Amazon frequently send replacements before receiving back the 'faulty' unit.

That is a very simple explanation and other than that, I do not need to prove anything.

If you are going to make comments like that, then YOU should have sent ME a Private message rather than have such a conversation in public.

The only evidence there is is that the Ethernet says 'No Connection' and clicking on it has no effect.

As a network tech, I can assure you I am quite au fait with checking cables, routers, physical ports. There is nothing wrong with the physical port, router or cable that I am currently using.

To send you a video, I will need to completely restore the New unit to stock; show the ethernet working; unlock the bootloader; flash your rom; show the ethernet Not working.

I do not have time to keep doing all this and will probably just return this unit also as faulty and receive a refund.

Relax m8, he's trying to help you out of free will/in his spare time.

As a Network Tech you should know that users tend to exagerate or say they have done things just to speed up the process
(i'm a Server admin and i know my fair share of user-excuses )

Are you using a PoE switch in your network? Perhaps this gives problems with the ethernet port on full-android os?
(just shooting idea's here)

Have you tried a different switch/cable/router etc. ?

Could it be a IPv6 issue?
If you disable ipv6 in your DHCP, does it work then?

Does it work if you manually assign an address?
