Tried upgrading today from Full Nougat by trying to install the recovery but I keep getting unknown error when I try to flash the system image.
I can see device when I type fastboot devices, but when I try to flash systemimg I keep getting unknown error, I suspect it might be because I am using SSD drive as main system. Do I have to reset to factory and get the system to forget the ssd drive?

Any help appreciated.

Oreo requires a new boot image, and maybe a new bootloader as well. Have you upgraded them to Stock 7.0.2?

Also, is your SSD internal (SATA) or USB?

You must copy inside vendor/app folder and reboot

After reboot update from google play

Go in settings and add your account

Retry because the procedure work and i'm using it without problems.

Otherwise, how i recorded this video ?

Hi Mogster
I was trying to install the Stock Recovery 7.0.2 and my ssd is usb.
And is it literally just the system and vendor images I need to flash then?
Regards

UPDATE
I've now updated it but need to try again as got no wifi
I changed cable and used 7.0.1 image so not sure which did it, though I suspect it was probably the cable.

Don't forget that when in DroidMote you assign analog LT and RT to circle and square button, in case you need LB and RB buttons, this are assigned to volume UP and DOWN

By default Circle and Square are LB and RB buttons but to emulate a real controller, you must go in settings and assign analog LT and RT to circle and square. LT is assigned also to another spare button on the right side, so in case you need it, you can also aim and shot at same time.

Anyway every button is remappable also via droidmote keylayout, therefore you can do what you want.

But by default, without custom keylayout, 99,9 % of games that support hardware controllers are playable with DroidMote.

I tested thousands of games, and i know many tricks, if you need help, let me know.
second post could do a better job at explaining how to get game streaming working.... youtube video not working for me
