Hi Zulu, I installed 1.3 and it works fine.

I noticed one of the features of stock missing: where you can mount NAS drives from the Settings. Lon Seidman covered it here.

It's a shame since I can't use Plex Media Server without this feature, and I find CIFS awkward since it will disconnect after a reboot.
Is it possible to add this, or is it NVIDIA proprietary?

you not readed the previous posts ? we can do this easly and better than stock firmware, because we can chose also specific folders of the nas, have more options to mount a not standard nas and also run at start with a script. In this way the mount to the nas is more stable and fast and you can do everything also record the screeen of Shield Tv without interruptions. ( in stock you have many disconnections and errors )

In case you don't want use the CifsManager app but a script, to start scripts at boot you can put it inside /su/su.d folder with the right permissions but there are also others tools to start scripts at boot.

In case you need a plex addon for Kodi, where you can have everything plex server can offer including metadata and resume options

i suggest PlexKodiConnect

i use this add-on and not the plex app because is more easly have everything inside one app.
Inside kodi i have also live tv and many others add-ons
apart that the kodi add-on is more stable than the plex app.

but is just a matter of preference. The important is that you can use what you prefer.

Is there anything that can be done with the green on light similar to what we could do with the original shield software. Off, low, med, high brightness.

For those looking for an app that mounts network shares / NAS at boot, I found 'Mount Manager'. The CLEARLY shows configuration for mount at boot.

The version I found was named 'com.twimager.cifsmanager.apk' and another site named it '689.Ryan.Conrad-Mount.Manager_v1.0.41.apk', both binary comparison being equal. It is not available in the Play Store. There is a button for license purchase but that's no longer functional, so I don't know if I'll run into problems after a grace period.

I've tried it, it works. But if anyone has any license info or warnings about virus or malware, I'd like to hear it.

I ve just rooted with twrp,
I already made a full reinstall and wipe. No success. Any idea?

I'm experiencing a similar problems also with others widevine drm apps that yesterday was not present. ( maybe yesterady was not present )

Or is a momentary widevine drm down or google is experimenting something.

Don't worry i will check what happen.

My error on widevine drm, i found the problem in few hours i will update to 1.4

I'm sorry, are only two libs, but i must rebuild and update.

The first time only with fastboot, after you can create a backup or with flashfire or with twrp and you can install like you want.

But now i'm creating the 1.4 update, unfortunately for me and for all others friends there is a problem on widevine drm that forced me to create an update.

Widevine mean netflix, google movies and all others crap protections apps. But the fault is my fault that not tested well this garbage.

My loved kodi is the best, without crap drm inside

I'm not sorry to make other work, but because many friends must reinstall.

bug correction on widevine DRM

tested Netflix for TV and Google Play movies, when this two apps works well mean that is all ok and all apps with DRM can work

if you want test the previous error and the correction, run the drm info app from google play.

P.S.
If you come from full android 1.3 you can install only the system.img without wipe data.
don't worry this is an easy update, only two libs was change from 1.3 to 1.4
