A suggestion for DroidMote users:

In case you use the DroudMote Client with the last Google keyboard and you have problems ( Keyboard character repetition ), disable the automatic correction from Google keyboard settings.

I will fix in next update.

The problem happen because i never use auto correction and i not tested the last Google keyboard with auto-correction on, my bad. The fix is simple but i will correct 22 August when i return to home from vacation. Sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

For all:

I'm out for 7 days, in vacation with my family, if something extremly urgent i'm here. But please if things are not urgent we start again also with the forum the 22 of August. I work 24/7 the entire year, give me at least 7 days :)

Thanks.

No problem at all.
Some time i use some generic questions to express my vision to others users. I'm here to try to help everyone.
I also posted the youtube video link for root.

I'm in the Android world from some years and i know very well that is not simple for all users have root. Google add abstacles to root purposely.

Listen this:

Google sell root apps in Google play, earn the 30% for every root app sold. Google also use apps that require system permission ( root ) because can install apps in system folder and sign apps with the platform key of the manufacturer ( this mean root permission ), but at same time fight the root in Android.
Google and the manufacturer can have root and all others developers, users and companies no. This is monopoly. And for this reason Europe and Russian they are getting many money from Google thanks to antitrust laws.

Instead small developers must only suffer this abuse and also pay many money to Google to have the app in Google Play, but at same time Google fight this app.

This is not correct, in case this is legal. There is a clear conflict of interests.
Hi Zulu, yes I agree with you about Google and I know you are helping many users (I wrote a mail to you 2 weeks ago) however at the moment I need to install full android on the Shield tv,but I still haven't understood some steps,so I will ask for your help another time if you don't mind! Then I will root the device,I have some questions about Droid Mote too.Happy holydays.

Thx for reply zulu99,

i am not sure if i have got all your points as i am feeling lame in some things. these things about old and new bootloaders...Is it so, that when i upgrade/flash new firmware - etc. 3.0-to 3.2 it updates bootloader version (and its features) also ? So its 3.2 bootloader and system after update, right ? Then it should not be possible downgrade to 1.2 version ? But i did it. i have had 3.2 version updated on start. then i tried to push there 1.1 version and flash proccedure was correct and without errors (so i have aplied old system on new bootloader, right ?) and it allowed me go thru. BUt after downgrade, as i said, it freezes during boot. So i assume, there is still new version of bootloader or ? Is it so that you can changing versions of bootloader both ways, or only up and then when you try downgrade, you mess up the system ? ? Sorry if it sounds chaotic and messy, but i wanna rly to understand main principes of this proccedure some easy way, if possible.

and next question.

Install twp manually - what is it and how ?
fastboot flash recovery the_last_mm_twrp.img - what is it and where to get it ?

The rest of solving steps i can understand.

About twrp, how to install and others things you can read the first post.

For the bootloader question, you need a working 3.2 stock firmware to install full Android 1.4

When you update with the OTA ( over the air update of Nvidia ) you have a complete installation. For this reason i suggest to install the last OTA with TWRP in case you downgrade.

To better understand, open the OTA zip and open the recovery firmware zip and you can see that the OTA have also others things inside. Mainly bootloader and factory stuff.

So the best way to install full Android is, have the last stock firmware installed and change only the system and vendor images with fastboot.

In the past, when you downgraded to Android 5.1 from Android 6, you can't upgrade only with the recovery firmware. You need the OTA. So i assume is the same thing also with others very old firmwares.

I have installed Full Android Marshmallow for Shield TV v1.4 and have also rooted. I am unable to find a version of Google Play Store that works. I have tried 6.4.13 and a few versions prior. I have also tried the latest version but have had no success with either. Can somebody shed a little light on a fix please? I am able to push apks via adb and install through Solid Explorer.

edit... 6.4.13 worked for about 10 minutes after i first flashed and i was able to install a few apps but failed afterwards.
