Full Android Nougat 7.1.1 for Nexus Player was updated to version 1.3

Changelog:
Increase size of ZRAM to avoid the kill of background apps when some games require more memory
Added the keylayout file for the new Nvidia Bluetooth Controller


The Nexus Player have only 1GB ram and this is a problem. But with this fix the overall stability of the firmware is better.
I strongly suggest to update.

You can install also only the boot and system image without wipe data. Without fastboot -w

When you install the new boot.img, you must root again with TWRP and Supersu.

does that mean, an upgrade will be on the way?

need your help with a persistent cable modem drop:
got the nexus player connected directly (etehrnet) to my netgear cable modem/router
for some odd reason, internet drops and all I had to do is Unplug and plug cable to the modem/router and things are fine.
Is there a script or shell equivalent of [Unplug and plug cable], i already have busybox installed.
Will really appreciate it.

7.1.2 is not out yet, it is only in beta for select devices right now.

You need to provide a logcat for even a chance that you may get help with this issue. Always post logs with any issue.

Depends on what modem/router you have. If you can ssh into it, it's very simple. This app would actually let you reboot or send any command with the touch of a launcher shortcut.

Thank you for posting this. I now have a reason to use my Nexus Player again. The only issue I'm running into is the Chromecast feature does not work. The device shows up in Google home on my phone but it won't connect. Any ideas?
