PS3 Controller via bluetooth on Android without any app

Post by zulu99 »

copy sixpair in /system/bin
copy libusb.so /system/lib

chmod 644 /system/bin/sixpair
chmod 644 /system/lib/libusb.so

1) connect your ps3 controller with usb cable to your phone
2) start terminal emulator
3) start /system/bin/sixpair (this command assign your phone bluetooth address to your ps3 controller)
4) Disconnect the USB cable. enjoy with ps3 controller via bluetooth on your android phone.

Either the link is bad here or its required to download on a desktop PC and then transfer the files over. Anyone have a different/working link for the sixpair.rar?

This setup requires users to have a device that recognizes the controller on USB connections. If they do not have the kernel module in their build you will have to pair the device via a PC with the sixaxis pair tool which can be found with Google fairly easy. Once you have set the Mac address to match that of the device you wish to connect to you then run the six pair executable through the emulator and connect the controller in the Bluetooth menu.

**** to find your devices Mac address you can enter the android devices settings under about tablet > status > Bluetooth address
On a phone this can be found under phone info > Bluetooth address.

However this method changes from version to version. If you cannot find the Mac address to your Bluetooth this way go to Google and search "find Bluetooth Mac address android ( your android version here )" someone has most likely asked this question sever hundred times before. Forums are usually a good place to start looking.
