I have an Android TV Box .
I install Droidmote server, connect the client but the mouse not work,
I try with FAQ 25, 26, 33
uinput have in /dev
In FAQ 33, command insmod error with notification: init_module '/system/lib/modules/uinput.ko' failed (Exec format error)
Kernel: 3.0.8-g98a7be4
What should i do?

before buy DroidMote Server, you must see if you have uinput. faq 26

If you don't have uinput, you can read the faq. 33 to see if there is a module already compiled for you

If the module is not present, you don't buy.

i think the vermagic of your kernel is the problem. Can you show me what is the vermagic of a generic module ?

to see the vermagic, get a generic module (a file with extention .ko) and attach it to your next post.


the uinput module that can work on your device, must have the same vermagic of all others modules already present in your device.

Do you have a custom kernel on your device ? what is the firmware that you have loaded on your device ?

i think, but i'm not sure, that there are new firmware for your device. you can try to load newest firmware with the uinput module already inside, or that have the kernel compatible with modules in the faq 33.

as a last resort we can try to compile the module from source of your kernel.

i need your build.prop and a generic module from your device.

don't forget to assign right permissions beforse load the module.

chmod 644 ./uinput.ko

insmod ./uinput.ko

are you sure that you don't have uinput already inside your kernel.

if you have it, is normal that error.


what mean this your sentence: "uinput have in /dev" ?
