yes you can install this firmware and when you want turn back.
All is eplained in this thread.

first post for installation, and to reinstall stock firmware you need the recovery firmware from Nvidia website.

search in this thread and you will find all the answer.

Hello. Tricky question. How to disable a subscription to the game Shield hub (Geforse now)? I will soon end the trial period of 3 months. Here I think if you do not cancel the subscription with a credit card do not write off the money when the freebie is over? On the Internet, neither of which can not be found on this issue. Sorry my English.

Hi Zulu,

Could you tell me why do i only see Clock and Colours option under Daydream? I want to use photos for daydream, can you help? also could you tel me how to get the nvidia app for game streaming which i used to use with the stock android tv rom?
is there any way to enable the sleep function after installing your rom? I don't like to leave the shield green light on when it is not being used for a long time.

Thanks in advance.

To sleep you can press the power button one time, to have the power menu with power off you can long press the power button like in all android devices. You can use the hardware power button of Shield TV or the power button of DroidMote.

For Daydream you can install Backdrop Daydream : https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-in ... -download/

absolutely NO. You can decode 4K contents like a charm. Video decode and 3D graphic are the same in full Android and stock firmware.

you can test all 4k videos that you want and play with all graphic intensive games. Also H265 4k and opengl es 3.2

Shield TV with full Android inside is the best Android device in the world. You can't find nothing better than this.

But with Android TV inside the Shield TV become a Walled Garden like an Apple device.
