Hi Zulu, first of all, thank you for both awesome firmware's, been using both 5.1 and droidmote, now did move on to 1.2!
I would like to ask for help with TeamViewer Host app. This worked perfectly on 5.1 but now on 1.2 it doesn't want to install the addon which will let me to have screen remote control. TeamViewer will detect addon available for this device, but when i click on "Install" button to proceed, it gives me: "No matching activity found" message. It seems that before on 5.1 it did recognize the name of the device and installed addon based on device name or something, but now it seems it doesnt know which addon to pick up from play store. Can anyone help pls?
[ROM][Full Android Marshmallow for Shield TV][v.1.5]
Re: [ROM][Full Android Marshmallow for Shield TV][v.1.2]
as you can read from others posts, also for all others users works. ( install manually the last version from apkmirror.com )meksis wrote:I do everything as you have said, but Google play still does not start. If I'm in my build.prop all values foster_e on full_foster_e, the Google play works, but when the system boots, a window, "there was an internal error, contact the device manufacturer," What can be done? To fix this problem, go to Settings and uninstall updates for the Google Play Store App.
I am running the newest version. Worked fine for a while. Noticed today it won't.
Version 6.7.13 -xhdpi [8] 2920566
I have the 6.7.13 E-All [nodpi] 2920566 and default 220 DPI in build.prop ( usually i not modify default DPI )
If you need a video let me know. For now i attached screenshots to this post.
Or Google are doing some experiments with some devices, or you modified something.
My suggestion is a factory reset to understand, but if you modified also the system image, you can only reinstall the firmware and clear the user data.
PS
I installed also the last Google Play Services 9.2.56 (430-124593566) to be sure.
However if you continue have problems, change in the file build.prop all accurrences of the word foster_e in full_foster_e, reboot, uninstall Google Play Store updates and reinstall the last version.
PS: You can write the instructions you need to do to make Googleplay work? Thank you.
i suggested also to reinstall the firmware. but i think you not installed from scratch the firmware.
If you continue have this problem, change foster_e on full_foster_e in build.prop that you have in system folder and also the build.prop that you have in vendor folder. In this way you don't have the stupid message "there was an internal error, contact the device manufacturer,"
If the build.prop in system and in vendor not match, you have the stupid error. nothing special.

If you change foster_e in full_foster_e in build.prop that is inside system folder, you must change also in the build.prop that is inside vendor folder.calaiou wrote:hello, i dont understand me too

Re: [ROM][Full Android Marshmallow for Shield TV][v.1.2]
Hello Zulu,
first let me thank you for making it possible to use stock Marshmallow on the Shield TV, thanks to that I am able to use it as a car pc. The only things I have problems with is the gps, where I want to use an external usb mouse and DVB-T.
For the gps problem I have found a perfect solution which involves compiling of pl2303.ko. I have tried it for many hours but my knowledge of Linux is not good enough to make the kernel module compile. Could you do me a big favor and compile it for me?
Regarding the DVB-T I want to use a RTL2832U stick which I can also use for SDR with Wavesink and SDR Touch. I read about tvheadend on xda recently but I have no idea if it works in combination with Full Android.
Thank you in advance!

I use the stock kernel that already have inside most of the things we need.Bustelino wrote:Hello Zulu,

I'm interrsted to have same functionalities of Nvidia firmwares but with a full Android version. This is not simple because many things are precompiled by Nvidia and without source code. Therefore use the stock kernel is a starting point to reuse things of Nvidia Stock firmware.
However, i will test to compile specific kernel module in future.
For a generic usb dvb-t receiver, you need the kernel module and also the firmware that usually for cheap receivers are only for x86 devices.
In the video that you see in my youtube playlist, for live tv, pvr, plex server, tvheadend, aria2, samba etc. I'm using a small atom mini pc as server device.
Shield TV is the player in my configiration and the backend is an ubuntu 16.04 x64 small server ( more versatile )
I can have all functionaliries also outside my LAN and with Kodi i can have Live TV, record of Live TV, EPG guides, and an interface for Plex Server with the addon-on PlexKodiConnect that is better than plex client, with all metadata and the resume watching functionalities that you need.
Aria2 is also very useful because i can program my download wherever I am, from chrome extentions or android apps, outside my LAN or from LAN.
Maynly i use two Chrome browser extention, GetThemALL and Aria2c Integration, when i find a video, with GetThemALL find the url and with Aria2c Integration i save on my server also when i'm outside my network. When i found something interesting for me i click save to house and my little server do everything.

Zulu, can you help me with enabling Backdrop please. I enabled Daydreams in settings and then I selected docked and charging from the options. Even after that, I can't get it to run correctly. Is there something else I have to do?zulu99 wrote:1) yes you can installing Backdrop Daydream and eneble it from android settings http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc ... -download/

when you installed go in setting -> display -> daydream and enable backdrop
ater in the 3 dots menu top right corner, select either. and you can also start it to test. if you move the mouse or keyboard you exit from daydream.
