Zullu99 thanks for this rom. Please i need your assistance in finding a way to input proxy server on the ethernet port when connected. I need this as i connect to the internet through a proxy. My wifi connection is not too good. Would appreciate if you could help sort this out. I have tried using quick shortcut maker with TV settings apk but no success as the TVsetting foece closes whenever i click on the network icon. Looking forward to a speedy resolution as this is the only thing keeping me from going full android on my shield. Thanks

trying to get this working on 1tb or 320gb hdd had it working on usb stick but cant get it working on hdd

do I have disk as one partition mbr or gpt ? how did you init the drive

one partition in etx4 , must be the first partition.

HI,
I am new on this, and two thing that I do not know hot to!

On the Shield, I can not read my files from a Synology NAS, I do the connection on the Android tv settings, he connects to the NAS but on PLEX it does not recognise it!

The other thing is! I do format a USB3 external SSD as EXt4 but on full android he do not recognise it and what do you mean by "copy original and modified boot image inside the backup boot folder of Flashily"? what folder?

Can you do a step by step? please! (i've done old steps from 1 til 7 step)

The first question is related to Android TV i think. I not know Android TV.

On full Android we use a specific app to mount NAS. you can find the name and the link in previous posts.

Abaout Flashify, this app create backup and restore of boot image. If you get my boot images and copy directly in the folder where Flashify store his backup, you can load my boot images instead backup that produces Flashify. The folder is under sdcard/Android/data/Flashify...etc etc

root is the base of everything on Android. Also if you don't use apps that require root, is a good thing have root because only with root you are the real owner of your device and you can stop also the abuse of Google and of the manufacturer.

What many people not know is that also when you don't have root, the manufacturer and Goole have root on your device.

You buy the device with your money, but you can't be the owner ?

Do you will buy an house where the old owner have the key and can enter and exit when he want ?

you can also in morre simple way with a specific boot image, but not with the files that i published for boot from usb.

the sdcard usually have slow speed, instead many users have old spare HD that can be used in an usb enclosure.

and if you use the usb, you can have also others usb attached without lose the sdcard functionality.

I was really happy to found this topic and wanted to flash my ASTV (16GB) with stocked image first just for try how it works and planned to go full android later. downloaded all neccesary stuff and tried to flash current 3.2 update with the first one 1.1 OTA update. everything went ok files copied extcracted and aplied. after reset console stucked on nvidia log it started to boot onto system with clours dots in circles, but then it freezes. I am in this loop. I cant go into shield system to enamble developer mode and usb debugging regular way. I am able to go to bootloader by using power button and there is option apply update from adb and there i tried to adb sideload nv-recovery-image-shield-atv-3.0.0.zip (or also different ones 2.1, 3.2,...) but i am facing error footer is wrong and signature verification failed. Installation aborted. I hope for you have some rescue tip for i can solve this and go for that full marsmallow on my device or aleast i can be happy for just turn it back to functional stock state

You can't install new recovery firmwares from Nvidia with old bootloaders. Mainly you installed 3.2 firmware over the first firmware invented for Shield TV. You are the first.

To solve:

Install TWP recovery manually
fastboot flash recovery the_last_mm_twrp.img

with the twrp recovery install the last OTA 3.2 zip file, i don't have the link now but you should find it on nvidia forum.

The last OTA 3.2 zip, not the recovery firmware that you find on nvidia website. The OTA is what the device download automatically and install, the recovery firmware is what you can download from Nvidia website.

In this way you restore the original 3.2 firmware.

When you have the stock 3.2 firmware working, you can install full Android as explained in first post.

Your problem is that you installed new firmwares with old bootloader.

Lollipop firmware work with lollipop bootloader and Marshmallow firmware work with marshmallow bootloader.

The complete stuff for bootloader are only on OTA update
