1) Yes you can install also on Shield Tv Pro
2) Yes with FlashFire app or with TWRP recovery
3) Not exceptional as client device but should be sufficient.
4) DroidMote can control every app and game that can run on Android
thank you for the reply and help.. one last thing..can i setup the current system like a dual boot. meaning can i install the full android side by side with the current android tv version and than choose which to load at startup? this would be awesome as i have 500gb version and i can give half the drive to current system and half to full android.
ok so i tried to take do this. got all the software but couldn't even pass the the step of getting my windows 10 machine to pick up the usb.
On windows 10
I installed minimal adb and fast boot
I installed shield usb drivers
later i turned the windows 10 into developer mode
later i forced the windows 10 into usb validation
i swapped usb cable to all available usb ports
ran the adb terminal screen and searched for "adb devices" but always list was empty
On shield tv (500 Gb pro)
i enabled developer mode
i got usb debugging to on
i restarted a couple of time
i swapped usb cable to second port
Now i dont have any other windows machine to test it on. have mac osx though.
kindly suggest..

adb works on all Android devices and is a standard functionality that work also on stock firmware.chaudhryis wrote:chaudhryis wrote:zulu99 wrote:

I don't know how to suggest more than the millions pages avaiable in internet that explain how to use adb and fastboot.
Since adb and fastboot are regular things, you can request support also to Nvidia help desk about this. ( for example )
Instead i can support you well when you installed the full Android firmware with tricks and suggestions.
The first post is very clear how to install the firmware and many users of Shield 16GB and Shield 500GB use full Android. So at least adb and fastboot should be the base.
However my suggestion for you can be:
When you have Shield TV connected via micro usb cable to PC, and adb is enabled on Shield TV, check in the device manager of windows if you see the Shield TV and if you installed correctly the drivers for adb.
Adb have a driver and fastboot another drivers, both are included in the Nvidia driver package for Windows, but you can install it also manually.
Plug and unplug the cable to see the new device ( the Shield TV) in device manager of Windows. When you see a new device, install the adb or the fastboot drivers manually by select the relative inf file.
To test the driver, go in the command prompt and type or adb devices or fastboot devices.

Re: [ROM][Full Android Marshmallow for Shield TV][v.1.2]
Google continue to invent duplicates of thing that already have. A full Android box, can destroy the market. Android apps on Chrome OS ? Why ? You already can have all Android apps and games on a giant screen and also the Chrome browser with a full version of Android on a box like this. Today nothing is better than Shield TV with a full version of Android inside. This is not the garbage Android TV subspecie, or Chrome OS that dreams to become an Android device
We don't need different OSes, we need only apps and launchers for different use. Every Android device can become an Android TV device, a car device, a tablet or a notebook with different apps and configurations. With one OS we can do everything.

Ok, thanks, bluetooth can be another option and is always enabled (because of the Shield TV remote/Amazon Fire TV remote which I use). Will test if bluetooth tethering is enabled after reboot.zulu99 wrote: Sure that work. The important that both client and server can ping each other.
You need a TCP/IP connection, all the ways that you know can be good. For example also with bluetooth tethering.
Enable bluetooth tethering on Shiield TV and connect your phone to shield via blueooth, so also without wifi.
If you know others way to have tcp /ip connections all are compatible.
In these other unconventional ways maybe you can't find automatically the server with the search buttons of the client, but you can always write the ip manually. The important fact is that client and server have a valid ip on same network.
You say I should set the IP manually. Where can I find this option under Marshmallow? Haven't found it yet and I've searched the whole firmware for that (at least I guess I did).

your question is not exact. Butcalaiou wrote:sorry i dont speak good, thanks for your work zulu99 , all my respect...just one qestion please, how connect controller shield in the box shield with droidmote in wireless please, its been two hours i go crazy, thanks in advance
you can connect the shield controller to your phone or tablet. On you phone droidmote client intercept the events of you hardware controller and send via wifi to droidmote server that is installed on Shield TV.
but in you phone / tablet you need the shield controller keylayout as explained in this post:
https://plus.google.com/+VideomapIt/posts/AduLxQ6PwTx
-----------------------------------
You can also play touch only games with the shield controller connected via usb to shield TV if you run the client and the server on shield tv and connect both client and server via 127.0.0.1 address. Like in this video:
