Ctrl+alt+del shortcut

Postby bafangul » Wed Feb 20, 2013 9:48 pm

Hello,
I am using Droidmote server on a UG802 android mini pc and the client on a kindle fire. This works well.
I am trying to figure out how to add a shortcut for ctrl+alt+del onto the keyboard. My client keyboard does not have 'ctrl', 'alt' or 'del' keys. I was wondering if I would be able to add them to the keyboard myself, or if there is a way to create a shortcut for that combination of key input.

Thanks,
Complete noob

I was looking for a shortcut to restart the android device. This is what happened when I would press that on the usb keyboard I had attached previously.
So, basically, I was looking for a shortcut to Reboot the device.

My client keyboard does not have Ctrl, alt or canc keys.

btw, long pressing the power button on the second page puts the android mini pc into sleep mode, but does not restart it.
Using key combination of ctrl+alt+del on a keyboard does reboot the device. This also works for Logitech Revue Google Tv, which is also android based.
I was just wondering if there is a way to create this shortcut in Droidmote. It would be quite helpful.
Thanks,

In google play there are same little tool that make an icon on home to reboot.

In normal android device, when you long press on power button, the system show a menu with a reboot button.

Your device not have this. But you can solv with a free tool in google play.

What is your server version please ?
