Hello. I can not get flash version 1.4.
What I do:
1. Through twrp sew ota NVIDIA 3.2
2. In writing fastboot command - fastboot flash system system.img, partition firmware starts, but after 20 seconds the prefix just starts to reboot and hence the error pops firmware partition system.
What am I doing wrong? Help me to understand. The second day is not obtained or what to do. :(

Make sure that you have unlocked the bootloader, read well the first post.

Change usb cable, or maybe more possible you have old fastboot tool, update with last fastboot.

However must work:

fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot -w

If you have SATV Pro 500GB, instead of fastboot -w go in TWRP and clear data / cache from inside TWRP

Hi Zulu99
Thanks for all your help
I read better your messages, and what happen is normal. Mainly you don't have the data patrition because the command fastboot -w failed.
If you want clear data partition with TWRP, you can use directly TWRP without use before the command fastboot -w
( in case you already suspect that fastboot -w can fail )

To solve:

Reinstall the stock firmware with the NVIDIA SHIELD ANDROID TV Pro Recovery OS 3.2 Image that Nvidia publish on his website.
https://developer.nvidia.com/gameworksd ... nal,shield

when you have the stock firmware working, you can reinatall full android 1.4 system and vendor images and since you have Shield TV 500 GB, clear the data partition with TWRP without using at all the command fastboot -w

I suggest to boot the TWRP recovery without install: fastboot boot your_twrp_recovery.img

P.S.
fastboot -w work also on Shield 500GB, but is a very long procedure because the large hard drive of the Shield TV Pro model.
So to save time, you can use TWRP to clear data / cache or a factory reset from inside android, after the first boot, if you have the stock recovery.
If fastboot -w fail, is normal that you don't have a valid data partition. TWRP can't find nothing and also Android can't boot normal.
If fastboot -w fail you can reinstall the stock firmware or complete the long fastboot -w procedure. ( long only on Shield TV 500GB )
I suggest to boot the TWRP recovery without install: fastboot boot your_twrp_recovery.img
does not work on the Pro model, recovery boots to a black screen ("no signal" on my samsung tv); the solution is to install it fully (fastboot flash recovery twrp.img)
If fastboot -w fail you can reinstall the stock firmware or complete the long fastboot -w procedure. ( long only on Shield TV 500GB )
I tried reinstall the (3.1) stock firmware, it did not work - 'data' could not be mounted and I also tried 'fastboot -w' again but it did not work...(?)

I sorted out the issue like this:
In TWRP > Format data
type in "yes" and validate

"data" was formatted and then the shield could finally boot to 3.1.
I flashed full android 1.4 on top of it with no issue (although i'm aware you recommend 3.2) so far (still need to check thoroughly tonight when I'm at home
thanks again!

Full Android 1.4 is based on stock firmware 3.2
Why you install the stock 3.1 ? In this way you lose the new kernel and ramdisk.

Firmat the data partition in TWRP is the same thing of fastboot -w

In the last explaination i wrote everything you need to know, for others specific problems i not know because i don't have your device in my hands.

However i'm happy that you solved. Usually the procedure is very simple and fast.

Anyone could put a video running shield tv controller in wireless mode using droidmote??

I refer to connecting ndivia controller to phone in mode hardware.

Other dubt is if i want to copy the necesary files to phone for doing compatible the ndivia controller with phone, is it necesary to root the phone or not???

Of moment I use a generic gamepad to play games or I used the ndivia controller wired usb connection.

Thanks for all.

@Zacharybinx34
Anyone got a good newer version of TWRP for the 16GB model?
Hi
it may not be the latest but it works
not aware of any newer version that will work on the shield...
anybody correct me if I'm wrong

Does anyone know how to enforce a static IP ethernet address in Marshmallow / enforce a static IP address for droidmote
so I can always find it at the same address (more convenient especially for my kids)
Thanks a lot in advance
