I have the full android 6 installed and it is running fine - except one thing:
when using Skype or LINE messenger, I do not hear the other side.
Since audio is working with music files and TV, it is something with audio routing. Skype and other messangers route audio to the internal ear speaker.
In Skype for Android there is an option to switch audio out between loudspeaker and earphone. The default is loudspeaker, in this mode you not hear any sound. Switching to earphone, everything is fine.
I found the app "SoundAbout". With this app, you can force media audio and phone call audio to HDMI. Now veverything works.
G.G., Is this fixed in 1.4? How do I know if I have 1.2 or 1.3?

im just glad i could suggest something useful for you , thanks for all your hard work, i wish i could do more, anything i can do just askzulu99 wrote:some functionalities of android TV settings, can be set also manually with the command setprop. with getprop you can know all proprieties.hugh a wrote:[
zulu99 could it be possible to combine the two settings apk and make one with more functions??? i have also tried to install both apk's but will only try to update, could we possibly change something in one so we could install both apk's?
usually you don't also need the setting tv app.
If i don't understand something, i go in the stock firmware, i set with the app the functionality and i read what was changed with the command getprop.
after i can use this command also on full Android.
But with the setting tv app that you can find in second post, you can already set some specific things. All others things can be done with the standard android settings, that have many options compared to tv version.

i tested DroidMote Server and client on Nexus Player Android N and it works.sharaq wrote:Zulu thank you very much for your reply, actually i have read some where in geforce forums that it is possible to wake nvidia shield through adb commands .. didnt try yet... well i have installed droidmote client on my nexus 6, android N dp4, its not working, it connects to the server but force closes if i press any button.. is the client compatible with android n?
I not tested on others Android N devices, but should works without problems if you have good root to start the server.
You need the last client and the last server from google play.
However you can be super sure that when Android N will come to production, DroidMote will works also on Android N.
UPDATE:
You are right, there was a problem with the Client and Android N. Solved with the last Client version 4.2.5
Soon you will have the update, i uploaded now.

For Skype, while you are in video / phone call, press the 3 dots and change the audio destination.jms wrote:I have the full android 6 installed and it is running fine - except one thing:

On others apps like hangouts, facebook or LINE messanger, you need the xposed module app settings.
With the xposed module app settings disable the permission android.permission.MODIFY.AUDIO.SETTINGS like in the screenshot below.
You can find the right version of App Setting in the second post.
This happen also on the stock firmware and is a garbage created by Nvidia with last firmwares. The source of problem are precompiled binaries on audio. If you compile the source code about audio, you can't have audio at all ( fake source or not tested source published by Nvidia ) therefore i'm constrained to use precompiled stuff that have this problem. Maybe playing with the file /system/etc/audio_policy.conf you can solve
But i solved the problem with xposed module app settings that is more simple, in this way you have also everything like the stock firmware about audio.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: [ROM][Full Android Marshmallow for Shield TV][v.1.4]
Hello zulu99,
I've installed TVsettings.apk from the second post here via ES File Explorer from usb thumb drive. I get the message that the apk is installed but I can't find anything where it's installed. Even after reboot I can't find any hint about tvsettings. When I've a look under settings => apps there are two "settings" and one has the same image like the apk. But there I can't do anything related to tv settings.
Can you give me a hint how I can open this app?
Thanks in advance

you must create a shortcut like others android-tv-only app that don't have an icon. read the second post.Huberer wrote:Hello zulu99,
